Job summary

Wabtec in Duncan, SC is seeking an Assembly Technician (Direct Hire) with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Shifts include 1st (7:00 AM–3:30 PM), 2nd (3:00 PM–11:00 PM), and 3rd (11:00 PM–7:30 AM), Monday through Friday or Sunday-Thursday as listed.

The role involves assembling and testing mechanical and electrical components, using hand tools and assembly equipment, following engineering drawings, and ensuring quality through inspection and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience using hand tools, assembly equipment, and related industrial tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble mechanical and electrical components.
• Assemble, test, and inspect products according to engineering drawings and test procedures.
• Work with electrical and mechanical equipment during assembly operations.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble equipment that does not pass testing.
• Operate and maintain assembly and testing equipment.
• Move materials and components using carts, cranes, and manual handling methods.
• Assist with daily 5S and workplace organization activities.
• Support efforts to resolve quality and production concerns.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
