Swagelok Southeast Texas is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble basic assemblies daily under the direction of a Custom Solutions Specialist. You will also assist in building more complex systems, with a focus on hose fabrication using the Swagelok Hose Crimping and Testing Cell and setting relief valves.

The Assembly Technician is primarily tasked with assembling basic assemblies on a daily basis under the direction of a Custom Solutions Specialist through the Swagelok Assembly Certification programs as defined below. The Assembly Technician will also assist the Custom Solutions Specialist in building more complex systems. One primary role of the Assembly Technician will be as a hose fabrication specialist using the Swagelok Hose Crimping and Testing Cell and setting relief valves. Typical shift Monday through Friday 7am - 4pm, potential to have mandatory overtime assigned.
As part of the role, the technician will be expected to obtain Swagelok Assembly Certifications and follow standard work procedures for assembly of basic assemblies. They must also safely use and maintain hand saws, electric saws, tube facing tools, hand drills, bench grinders, and other shop tools in addition to the equipment required for the Swagelok Assembly Certifications.

Education: High School Diploma
Experience: 1 year experience with Swagelok products or 2 years of shop experience within a similar industry preferred. Microsoft Office applications; primarily Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Various office & warehouse environments. While performing the duties of this job, the following are required: Good vision - must be able to sustain effective visual examination of work over an 8-hour shift. Lifting - may lift up to 40 pounds frequently. Manual Dexterity - must demonstrate manual dexterity required to properly handle products, tools, and gauges. Sitting/Standing - May be required to sit or stand 8 hours per day. Must be able to move through the shop to pick components, move samples, and maneuver around assemblies.
