Job summary

CSP (Teijin Automotive Technologies) is seeking a capable supervisor for 2nd shift to lead molding and assembly operations. You will supervise, coach, and develop a team, ensuring adherence to procedures and safety standards while driving efficiency and quality on the floor.

The role requires a degree or equivalent experience plus 5–8 years of manufacturing leadership. You will train associates, manage timekeeping, and collaborate across departments to maintain safe, productive operations.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent work experience with leadership experience.
• Experience leading manufacturing teams on the shop floor.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop employees’ skills and abilities.
• Know the jobs, procedures, and operation of machinery on molding and assembly lines.
• Provide on-the-job training with work instructions and safety procedures.
• Enforce safety practices and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Control costs and waste through efficient use of manpower and facilities.
• Maintain good relations across production and office teams.
• Ensure established quality standards are met.
• Maintain up-to-date training records and sign-off sheets.
• Maintain timekeeping and daily reporting; ensure timely production reports.
• Be available to work 2nd shift or other shifts as needed.

Job Description

These are 2nd Shift positions!

Primary Job Duties

• Supervise, coach, and develop employees’ skills and abilities.
• Must be knowledgeable of jobs, procedures and operation of machinery on the molding and assembly lines.
• Provide on-the-job training for associates including work instructions, procedures, proper and safe operation of equipment/machinery.
• Instruct and enforce safety practices and regulations; create a safe working area and safety-minded atmosphere. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping to ensure a clean, orderly and safe operation.
• Control cost and waste levels through efficient use of manpower and facilities and reduce cost through improved methods.
• Maintain good relations with production and office associates as well as peers to maintain an environment of close harmony between each group or department to maintain operation.
• Ensure that established quality standards are being maintained.
• Maintain up-to-date files reflecting each associate’s training in all operations within their work area by use of sign-off sheets.
• Maintain proper time keeping/reporting daily.
• Ensure all production reports are accurate and completed on time.
• Must be open and available to work on any shift.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent work experience and prior experience in leadership role.
• Five to eight years manufacturing experience.
• Good mechanical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Basic PC skills.
• Sound judgment and decision making skills.
• Must be available to work 3rd shift or an off shift.
