AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Kinston, North Carolina that is one of the world's largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial airplanes, defense platforms, and business/regional jets. With expertise in aluminum and advanced composite manufacturing solutions, the company’s core products include fuselages, integrated wings and wing components, pylons, and nacelles.

The Assembly Specialist- MFG is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing aircraft components and structures according to technical specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Ensures the manufacture of completed units by overseeing activities such as assembly of components into subassemblies.
  2. Mating or joining of structural assemblies (metallic and nonmetallic).
  3. Installation of systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic) that are fastened with screws, bolts, rivets, solder, crimping or swaging, connectors, or adhesives; and testing with mechanical, electrical, and electronic test equipment.
  4. Interfaces with engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and customer acceptance.

Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, etc.).
  3. At least 5 years' experience in a leadership/management role.
  4. High School Diploma or GED.
  5. Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint.
