Job summary

Toyota North America in San Antonio, TX seeks an Assembly Seibi Technician for a 12-month contract. You will provide technical support to the Final Assembly Engineering team, including design review, buyoff, install and start-up of equipment.

The role requires PLC programming, electrical/industrial controls expertise, and travel up to 50% with overtime potential. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K.

Qualifications

  • 2 years PLC programming/troubleshooting experience.
  • 2 years PLC knowledge.
  • 2 years Electrical circuits/Industrial controls experience.
  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent training.
  • Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% including international travel.
  • Overtime up to 30% when required.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in hot/cold or confined spaces.

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring a Assembly Seibi Technician for a temporary assignment in San Antonio, Texas.


This is a 12-month contract. The pay range for this role is between $35.00- $40.00/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

Who We’re Looking For


  • We're looking for a passionate and highly motivated Assembly Seibi Technician

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical/skilled support to Assembly Final Assembly Engineering team. This includes design/drawing review, buyoff support, install/commissioning, and equipment start up support.

  • Reporting to the Seibi Manager the person in this role will support the Final Assembly Production Engineering department's objective to provide high quality, low cost and reliable plant Equipment and control systems


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Review equipment specifications and design, identify improvements, conduct vendor buyoffs to confirm equipment functions,

  • Install equipment, verify safety, quality, and productivity of equipment.

  • Investigate to determine modification requirements. Implement modifications. Trial and adjust.

  • Lower cost and decrease project time by confirming safety, quality, and productivity of equipment at vendor, prior to installation. Minimize adjustment time during vehicle trials by performing quality trials at vendor.

  • Lower cost and decrease project time by overseeing installation by vendor and facilitating kanban process.

  • Improve equipment quality and productivity by implementing adjustments, as identified during online vehicle trials.

  • Confirm quality results by secondary method (Torque check, vacuum profiles, etc)

  • Install, setup and troubleshoot Toyopuc and Allen-Bradley program controllers

  • Provide training to Maintenance members on newly implemented equipment

  • Share Subject Matter Expert knowledge to local NAMC Maintenance and Production Members

  • Travel up to 50% at times.


What You Bring


  • Strong PLC programming/troubleshooting (Toyopuc, Seimens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley)- 2 years

  • Comprehensive knowledge of PLC’s - 2 years

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical circuits and Industrial controls- 2 years

  • 2-year technical degree or completion of trade school program (EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology) and/or equivalent work experience.

  • Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings

  • Ability to travel up to 50% at times. (Including International travel)

  • Ability to work up to 30% overtime when required.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs on occasion

  • Ability to frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching on varying surfaces.

  • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery.

  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.

  • Good vision and hand-eye coordination for detailed repairs.

  • Ability to work in various environments including hot, cold, or confined spaces

  • Stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work long shifts.


What You May Bring


  • 2+ years Industrial maintenance experience

  • Knowledge of Industrial Robot programming and teaching

  • Knowledge of AGVs/AMRs programming and set up

  • Knowledge of safety scanners and programming.

  • Knowledge of various industrial controls networking, EthernetIP, FLNet, ProfiNet ect.

  • Automotive manufacturing experience.
