Qualifications

  • 1+ year manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
  • Ability to read QIS work instructions, control plans or blueprints.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to utilize hand tools, power tools and various equipment as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy.
  • Effective communication.
  • Ability to maintain the production pace of BOM standards.
  • Ability to perform basic visual quality inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Use a variety of tools and processes to complete assemblies and meet quality standards.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed items in check fixtures; notify supervisor if resources are needed.
  • Verify equipment is operational with proper usage and report issues.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening.
  • Assemble parts according to BOM, QIS, work instruction or blueprints using mechanical or adhesive fasteners.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as intended.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment by following 6S procedures and regulations.
  • Position components using templates, fixtures or measurements per quality docs.
  • Prepare work by gathering components, tools and materials meeting quality standards.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Assembly Packager will produce components and/or final products by assembling parts.

Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Accountabilities:
  • Use a variety of tools and processes to complete assemblies and meet quality standards.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed parent items in check fixtures as assigned in First Off procedures; notify supervisor to obtain additional resources if needed.
  • Verify that equipment is operational with proper usage and notify management of any issues or inconsistencies.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening them together.
  • Assemble parts according to the Bill of Materials (BOM), Quality in Station (QIS), work instruction, control plan or other blueprints using mechanical or adhesive fasteners.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as intended.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms if applicable.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Position components by using templates, fixtures or reading measurements according to quality documentation.
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering components, tool, and materials according to specifications and ensure all incoming items have met quality standards.
