Job summary

Greenworks Tools is seeking an Assembly Operator at our Morristown, TN plant to help build high-quality products for the Outdoor Power Equipment market. This hands-on role rotates through multiple stations, follows SOPs, uses hand and power tools, and inspects work to ensure safety and quality.

You will join a collaborative team and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs and production documents.
• Experience using hand tools or power tools is a plus.
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented and safety-conscious.
• Willingness to be cross-trained and adapt to new assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products by following SOPs with accuracy and pride.
• Install wiring harnesses, fasteners, tires, and mechanical parts as directed.
• Operate hand tools and testing equipment safely to complete builds.
• Inspect products for quality and document production steps for traceability
• Rotate through multiple stations and cross-train across assembly tasks
• Identify and communicate production issues to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily production targets
• Maintain a clean, safe 5S-compliant workspace

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble high-quality products by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and pride in every unit produced
• Install and secure components such as wiring harnesses, fasteners, tires, and other mechanical parts according to detailed assembly instructions
• Operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and assembly fixtures safely and effectively to complete builds
• Perform thorough inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure products meet Greenworks’ quality and performance standards
• Accurately complete required production, inspection, and quality documentation to support traceability and continuous improvement efforts
• Rotate between multiple workstations and become cross-trained across various assembly processes to increase flexibility and efficiency
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and communicate production issues, defects, or concerns to supervisors to minimize downtime and maintain workflow
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to meet daily production targets and improve overall operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment in alignment with safety and 5S standards
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to help ensure a safe workplace for yourself and your team

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years of manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred; entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complete basic production documentation
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, or mechanical equipment is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Positive attitude, dependable attendance, and a reputation as a reliable team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production needs
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn new skills and grow within the organization
