Job summary

nVent is seeking a results-oriented supervisor to lead daily assembly operations in our Minneapolis-area facility, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.

You will coach staff, enforce EHS policies, conduct risk assessments, and drive lean improvements while supporting training, incident investigations, and cross-training to strengthen team performance.

This role requires 3+ years in manufacturing with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an industrial environment with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily assembly operations while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals are achieved.
• Promote a strong safety culture through active floor presence, coaching, and enforcement of EHS policies.
• Conduct safety observations, inspections, risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and EHS reporting.
• Coordinate training, onboarding, and cross-training to ensure safe work practices and standardized procedures.
• Monitor production performance and material flow using visual management tools to communicate expectations and results.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and employee involvement in problem-solving.
• Support compliance with company policies and environmental, health and safety regulations; foster accountability and teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, squat, and kneel while inspecting equipment, storage areas, and incident scenes.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding to access elevated work areas.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work overtime and assigned shifts, including weekends, as business needs require.

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range

$23.90 - $44.40 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
