🚀 About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Assembly Operator to support developmental fiber manufacturing operations. In this role, you’ll operate specialized equipment, manage experimental wareflow, and work closely with process engineers to help improve and optimize cutting-edge manufacturing processes.

- Load, set up, operate, and complete turnaround of developmental fibermaking lathes
- Safely operate and monitor specialized fibermaking equipment
- Identify recurring issues and assist in troubleshooting and resolution
- Support development and documentation of SOPs and best practices
- Manage experimental wareflow as required
- Partner with process engineers on experiments, data collection, and process improvements
- Train associates and support other shifts when needed
- Document process observations, issues, and improvement opportunities
✅ What We’re Looking For
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in a technical or manufacturing-related role
- Ability to lift 25+ lbs and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work variable schedules, including early mornings when required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in a fibermaking or manufacturing plant environment
- Familiarity with Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and ergonomic assessments
- Experience writing SOPs and training associates
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Willingness to share ideas, improve processes, and support team members
