TE Connectivity is seeking a production assembler to join a cell-based manufacturing team in Grayslake, IL. You will assemble parts, monitor equipment, and read BOMs and drawings to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires basic computer skills, strong English communication, and the ability to stand for long periods while lifting up to 35 lbs. Safety and organization are emphasized in daily operations.

Competenze

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiar with Excel.
• Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
• Good organizational skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to use hands, bend and manipulate fingers and repetitively twist wrists.
• Communicate effectively. Read, Write and Speak English.
• Experience with air/power tools, rulers, tape measures and gages.
• Able to work independently.

Job Overview

Assemble products for both internal and external customers.

Job Requirements

• Assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
• Effectively monitor production equipment.
• Read and understand bill of materials and blue prints of drawings.
• Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.
• Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for movement of material and supplies. Must be able to stand for duration of the shift.
• Operator air and power tools, as needed.
• Responsible for following safety rules as well as using safe procedures.
• Work closely with the Quality Control Department.
• Empty the cardboard container and trash receptacles as needed.
• Keep all tools and supplies in their work area put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis. Keep work area clean and organized.

What Your Background Should Look Like

Physical Requirements

• Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hands, for duration of the shift.
• Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items.
• Frequently lifts up to 35 pounds. Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

• Work performed in a shop environment.
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $18.00/Hour + 10% Shift Differential for working on 2nd Shift = $19.80/Hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
