Rochester Electronics is hiring an Assembly Operator I | 1st Shift
Temporary position with the potential for conversion to a permanent role within 30 to 90 days.
As an Assembly Operator, you have:
- A high school diploma or GED is required; previous experience in electronic/semiconductor assembly is helpful.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude. As a Rochester employee, it is expected that the individual represents, supports, and encourages the Rochester culture by adhering to work policies and practices.
- Stable work history. We consider individuals with proven track records and commitment; we have never had a layoff!
- Basic computer skills. Every Operator will utilize computer-based manufacturing systems to move products and enter data, including the Microsoft Office software suite.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Needed to define specifications or written/verbal instructions. Report daily outcomes and accomplishments to management.
- Attention to detail. Screening, visually inspecting measurements, and sorting semiconductor devices.
As an Assembly Operator, you will:
- Operate manual, automatic, and semi-automatic microelectronics assembly equipment under supervision.
- Inspect die and packages to various Military and JEDEC standards using high and low-power microscopes.
- Follow defined specifications and reaction paths or written/verbal instructions.
- Use multiple hand tools to process delicate products manually without damaging components.
- Train other employees on basic equipment operation and the assembly process.
- Maintain well-organized and audit-ready work areas.
- Utilize computer-based manufacturing systems to move products and enter data.
