Job summary

ElringKlinger AG in Fort Wayne is seeking an Assembly Operator to count good parts and reworks, report downtime, and maintain 5S at the workstation. You will handle material insertion/removal and follow the work plan for machining steps.

The role includes confirming parts status, recording times and downtime in the ERP, packing/labeling produced parts, and performing quality checks. Shift is 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Monday–Thursday with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Count good parts, rejected parts and parts that require reworking.
• Identify and report any machine downtime.
• Insert material into/removing them from the systems.
• Ensure the use of the 5S methodology at the workstation.
• Work through cleaning and inspection plans.
• Perform the machining steps set out in the work plan.
• Confirm good parts, rejected parts and parts that require reworking, the machining time and downtime and the reasons for any deviations in the defined ERP system.
• Execute the material request and the material consumption posting in the defined ERP system.
• Pack and label produced parts as per the defined specifications.
• Carry out defined quality checks.
• Use individual systems and/or implementing multi-system operation.
• Start/restart systems as per the documentation or specifications.
• Fix temporary machine interruptions that fall within the defined responsibility.
• Escalate technical problems in line with the defined escalation matrix.
