Job summary

New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) in the San Fernando Valley seeks an Assembly Technician to build bearing products using hand tools and measuring equipment, safely and efficiently while meeting quality standards.

You will read instructions, follow procedures, inspect for irregularities, diagnose issues, and keep a clean, orderly work area in line with OSHA rules. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and drawings.
• Dexterity and manual precision essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble bearing products following instructions and quality standards.
• Operate with safe, efficient production levels.

Job Description

Job Summary:

Performs assembly functions safely and efficiently using hand tools, mechanical equipment, and/or measuring equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proficient in at least one functional area of Assembly such as Build, Scribe, Pack, etc.
• Read, reference, and interpret written and verbal instructions to assemble bearing products as directed, adhering to quality standards. Maintain established production levels through safe and efficient operations.
• Inspect & identify any irregularities as to fits, defective parts, finishes, work techniques and/or quality of workmanship, and report them to assigned leader.
• Diagnose and correct operating difficulties, and maintain required records.
• Keep work area clean and orderly, observing all safety rules and regulations, and conforming to OSHA regulations.
• Move materials, parts, and containers as required, to complete job duties.

Job Skills & Abilities:

• Read, reference and interpret written and verbal instructions, including drawings and specification sheets
• Follow established standard procedures accurately
• Concentrated visual attention for extended periods of time

Education and Experience:

• HS Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:

• Must wear clean room uniform
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Dexterity in hands
• May require standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, twisting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
