Position: Assembly Mechanic - Renton, WA

Only qualified candidates with the experience listed below will be considered for this position.

Job Description & Requirements:

737 Fuselage Assembly: Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision and other structural and system components, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established procedures. Functional test and correct, fit, form, and function of assemblies and components.

1. Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, verbal and electronic information.
2. Use shop mathematics and precision measuring or test instruments to complete work assignments and functional test assemblies and components.
3. Utilize tooling in the assembly of components into sub-assemblies or end items.
4. Verify work performed is per work instructions and meets process and/or engineering specifications. Identify discrepancies per applicable procedures.
5. Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs as per procedure.
6. Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of daily duties (e.g., replacing filters, changing light bulbs, maintaining lubrication/coolant levels).
7. Move product within the manufacturing area using shop equipment and complete transactions to move product to the next operation.
8. Work within scheduled timelines.
9. Support continuous flow of product by training and assisting employees at all levels.
10. Assist in training other assembly personnel in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.
11. Cross-train in inspection and become SIA qualified. Level C employees must perform all general functions of the Assembly Mechanic, including assembly, installation, and sealing of structures and sub-assemblies.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work either shift.
• Experience with 737 rework and sheet metal mechanics is preferred; structures background is helpful.
• Training will be in Wichita, KS or Renton, WA (TBD). Flight paid or travel reimbursement if driving.
• Hotel reimbursement for training in Wichita.
• Overtime may be required depending on workload; no guarantee.
• Must pass the Plate Test.
• Blueprint reading skills required.

Benefits:

Starting pay includes $.63 per mile up to $252.00 travel pay on first check, plus a $100 monthly longevity bonus. Benefits include holiday pay, vacation pay, referral fees, free direct deposit, and cash advances.
