Job summary

Aptar is seeking a Mechanic for the 3rd shift (Lotions) in Cary, NC to maintain production machinery and support uptime targets. The role requires basic troubleshooting, electrical sensor replacement, and mechanical aptitude, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You will work under Assembly Mechanic II while performing preventative maintenance and documenting activities in SAP/TMP. Hours are 12:20am–8:30am, Monday–Friday, with a hiring bonus of $2,000 and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Must have basic trouble shooting & electrical sensor replacement experience.
• Must be a certified Operator I and possess a clear understanding of running a machine for set up.
• Must have mechanical skills/aptitude (as determined by testing).
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally throughout the shift, one (1) to two (2) times every four (4) hours.
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend and stoop continuously throughout the shift.
• Must be able to climb steps.
• Must be able to hear warning signals/verbal alerts to avoid injury during manufacturing process,
• Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to effectively communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues.
• Must be able to read various inspection gauges.
• Must possess basic math and PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Opens work orders and issues parts.
• Cleans, inspects and lubricates high speed equipment.
• Rebuilds machine/mechanical components.
• Performs restorative maintenance.
• Creates maintenance records in SAP/TMP.
• Responsible for product safety and the quality of goods produced.
• Assists the Assembly Mechanic II perform preventative maintenance.
• Prints and interprets production schedules.
• Assists team lead and may fill in as necessary/based on business need.
• Completes and e-mails production log as required.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the maximum hourly rate for the Mechanic I position is: up to $28.16 plus any applicable shift differential. The maximum hourly rate for Mechanic II (which encompasses additional job responsibilities) is up to $40.00 (plus applicable shift differential).
