Job summary

Wipro Givon USA seeks an Assembly Mechanic to join our team. You will assemble machined metal parts into assemblies, interpret aerospace blueprints, and perform precision measurements. The role requires standing up to 10 hours, reading orders, and maintaining ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance.

We offer competitive pay ($20–$30/hour DOE), 4-day work weeks (10-hour shifts), comprehensive health/dental/vision, PTO, holidays, and 401k with company match. U.S. work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret aerospace blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to perform basic math and follow written or diagrammed instructions.
• Must be able to sit or stand for long shifts and handle hand tools with precision.
• US citizen, permanent resident, or eligible immigrant per ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and blueprints to determine parts requirements and assembly sequence.
• Prepare surfaces and assemble parts using hand tools and fasteners.
• Apply adhesives, lubricants, and sealants as required by the work order.
• Use precision measuring tools and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Test assemblies and ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100.
• Support and contribute to a safe, productive work environment.

Wipro Givon USA has an exciting new opportunity for an Assembly Mechanic to join our team. This position assembles fabricated/machined metal parts and standards into partial or completed assemblies.

Abilities - Are you a good fit:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business language, technical procedures, aerospace blueprints and drawings, manuals, governmental regulations, and safety procedures and instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or listen.
• Must be able to sit or stand for at least 10 hours a day.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Job Duties and Responsibilities - What will you do daily:

• Reads and interprets written work orders and aerospace blueprints and drawings to determine parts requirements and sequence of assembly step.
• Cleans or otherwise prepares part surfaces for assembly.
• Applies and cleans excess adhesives, lubricants, sealants, and other substances as required by work order, drawing, and/or blueprint instructions to piece parts for assembly.
• Inserts rings, pins, and other standards and fastens parts together using nuts, bolts, screws, clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
• Uses hammers, punches, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, rivet guns, and other hand tools to perform assembly operation.
• Installs bushings and bearings and uses hand tools to produce close fit between parts.
• Operates drill presses, presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.
• Uses micrometers, force gauges, calipers, torque wrenches, dial indicators, and other types of precision measuring tools and equipment. Reads measuring tools and interprets readings in performing assembly operations.
• Handles parts, subassemblies and assemblies with care to ensure those with finishes or special coatings are not damaged or blemished.
• Performs functional testing.
• Meets established standards for productivity and quality. Confers with supervisor when problems occur which impact expected levels of performance.
• Responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance to ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Must contribute to a positive work environment.
• Performs any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.
