Holland Sharpe is seeking an Assembly Manufacturing Launch Engineer in the United States. You will lead the design and deployment of production systems for new programs, map flows, select equipment, and model labor to ensure smooth launches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing or assembly engineering.
  • Deep familiarity with production systems and equipment.
  • AutoCAD proficiency and standard engineering toolsets.
  • Working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools.
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting competency.
  • Vendor/supplier/contractor management experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership on the production floor.

Assembly Manufacturing Launch Engineer

Your impact
  • Engineer complete production systems for new programs: map flows, select equipment, and model labor
  • Write standard work, define assembly sequences, and deploy error-proofing
  • Design plant/line layouts that minimize waste and maximize flow
  • Lead manufacturing readiness gates and orchestrate launch activities
  • Plan and manage equipment installation, relocation, and validation
  • Serve as project lead for capital equipment and facility improvements
  • Collaborate with suppliers/vendors to lock scope, review specs, and complete pre-shipment validations
  • Use 8D and root cause methods to troubleshoot issues and restore output
  • Drive measurable gains in throughput, quality, and labor utilization
  • Control Engineering Change and coordinate cross-functional implementation
  • Apply AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) at each program phase
  • Support maintenance planning and reliability programs; lead or coordinate maintenance tasks as needed
  • Travel to customer and supplier facilities for launches, audits, and validations
  • Mentor early-career engineers and champion safety-first design

Compensation
  • $85,000 to $100,000+/year - based on experience
  • Candidates with significant manufacturing experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
