Job summary

Kelly Services is recruiting an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer to support an on-site assembly line in Davenport, IA 52809. The role includes partnering with cross-functional teams on safety, quality, delivery improvements and leading capital projects.

Responsibilities include maintaining assembly layouts, labor standards, methods, and work sequences; developing manufacturing processes and technologies, and troubleshooting current operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, preventative maintenance and facilities.
• Experience with engineering tools and MES.
• Experience leading and implementing projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication with operators, peers and leadership; able to work with minimal supervision.

Job description

Job details

• Contract: 10/26/2026 to 10/25/2027
• Pay rate: $42 per hour
• On-site, 1st shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• 5–8 overtime hours may be requested

• Maintain assembly layouts, labor standards, methods, and work sequences.
• Develop manufacturing processes and technologies, and troubleshoot current operations.

Required experience and skills

• 1 or more years of experience with manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, preventative maintenance, and facilities.
• Experience with engineering tools and manufacturing execution systems.
• Experience leading and implementing projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication with operators, peers, and leadership; ability to work with minimal supervision.

Preferred background

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology, or equivalent related work experience; industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering preferred.
• Strong accountability and follow-through, with an ability to foster an engaged team.
