Job summary

Peak Workforce Solutions (NEWBOLD SERVICES) in Manning, SC, is hiring for assemblers to operate production line machinery, read tape measure, and ensure quality control on second shift. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour and some weekend work may be required.

You will perform changeovers, document production data, assist with material orders, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while wearing PPE and adhering to safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to safety and PPE rules.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate production line machinery and computers.
• Troubleshoot and perform change-overs on equipment.
• Ensure quality within specifications and reject non-conforming product.
• Complete daily production reports and process documents.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and assist with materials orders.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Peak Workforce Solutions (NEWBOLD SERVICES) is currently hiring for Assemblers in Manning, SC

-Pay rate is $17.00/hour.

2nd Shift Monday thru Friday 3pm - 11:30pm. [Some weekend work required.]

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate production line machinery and computers
• Troubleshoot production line machinery
• Perform change-overs
• Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce within specifications. Reject product outside of specification.
• Operate within standard operating procedures.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on production line machinery.
• Communication with Operators and Supervisors
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use
• Accurately complete process documents
• Complete daily production reports as necessary.
• Perform back-up for others as required
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees
• Order raw materials and supplies
• Able to read a tape measure
• Promote teamwork and build a culture of continuous improvement
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Experience working in manufacturing preferred
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Able to perform all duties and responsibilities listed safely and wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
