Job Summary

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling KIOTI products, primarily involving the assembly of wheels/tires and attachments such as front-end loaders onto various tractor models. Additionally, the role includes assembly of zero-turn mowers, UTVs, and construction equipment on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

1. Set up workstations for tractor assembly.
2. Use hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, and pneumatic tools.
3. Position or align components manually or with hoists.
4. Prepare work by studying parts lists and gathering necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
5. Assemble tractors, zero-turn mowers, and UTVs adhering to KIOTI’s quality standards.
6. Maintain a smooth workflow by identifying bottlenecks, reporting issues, and participating in efficiency improvement tactics.
7. Follow work instructions to ensure consistent, quality assembly, paying attention to torque specifications and other metrics.
8. Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
9. Perform cosmetic defect repairs using touch-up, buffing, or similar techniques.
10. Work efficiently to meet scheduled demands.
11. Assist with warehouse duties and provide backup when necessary.
12. Keep the assembly area clean and organized.
13. Manage inventory of tools and report losses or damages.
14. Perform preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs for equipment.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Educational and Physical Requirements

1. High School diploma or equivalent; training in mechanics and/or assembly preferred.
2. 2-4 years of mechanical or assembly experience.
3. Experience with assembly lines and understanding of assembly processes highly desirable.
4. Training in overhead hoist equipment, provided annually.
5. Willingness to become forklift certified; previous experience preferred.
6. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
8. Work environment includes shop and office settings with exposure to noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils.
