Job summary

Impact Workforce Solutions is seeking an Assembly Line Supporter in West Point, GA, for 1st & 2nd shifts within a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This role ensures parts are available, assists with assembly operations, and fills in for absent teammates while upholding safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a team with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of relevant manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Previous assembly experience required.
• Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• Associate degree or additional technical education is a plus.
• Ability to follow written work instructions and safety procedures as well as SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Support daily assembly and manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, and safety goals.
• Ensure required parts and materials are available at the production line.
• Perform assembly processes according to work instructions and cycle-time requirements.
• Fill in at different production stations when team members are absent or need support.
• Follow SOPs, quality standards, and production requirements.
• Identify and communicate production, equipment, material, and quality issues.
• Assist with basic equipment resets and troubleshooting when trained and authorized.
• Support efforts to reduce equipment and production downtime.
• Assist with training new and existing team members on production processes.
• Support supervisors and team leaders with daily production activities as needed.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area using 5S principles.
• Assist with implementing quality improvements and corrective actions.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with coworkers and leadership.
• Perform additional production-related duties as assigned.

Assembly Line Supporter

Location: West Point, GA

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Assembly Line Supporter to join a fast-paced manufacturing operation in West Point, GA. This position supports daily production by ensuring materials and parts are available at the production line, assisting with assembly operations, and filling in for absent team members as needed.

The ideal candidate has previous assembly or manufacturing experience, understands the importance of safety and quality, and is comfortable working in a team-oriented production environment. This position may also provide backup support to production leadership when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily assembly and manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, and safety goals.
• Ensure required parts and materials are available at the production line.
• Perform assigned assembly processes according to established work instructions and cycle-time requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for the majority of the shift.

• Push or pull carts or materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Safely handle a continuous flow of parts and materials throughout the production area.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Rotating shifts may be required.
• Must be available to work overtime as production needs require.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
• Work is performed in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
• Most production areas are climate controlled.
• Employees are expected to comply with all company safety, quality, environmental, and housekeeping requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier experience.
• Assembly line or production support experience.
• Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience training or assisting other production employees.
• Basic manufacturing equipment troubleshooting experience.
