Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Greer, SC is hiring assembly/packout associates to support the packaging line. You will perform tasks on the assembly line, open cartons, place products, apply labels, and pack items to meet quality and schedule requirements.

This role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and comprehensive training is provided to help you develop skills and grow within a global packaging company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with line leads and associates.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks on the assembly line to support the assembly process and ensure quality merchandise is produced on schedule.
• Open cartons, place products on tables, apply labels, pack products, and tape boxes according to work orders.
• Wrap and/or band pallets, tag pallets, and move pallets using pallet jack if necessary.
• Remove trash and debris from lines and assist with housekeeping tasks.
• Support line leaders and maintain safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Follow company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
