Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and perform a flat layout.

Responsibilities

• Cut, glue, build, and finish wood stair parts
• Basic understanding of blueprint drawings and build layouts
• Material identification – wood species, thickness, grain, and mill quality
• Work with team members to creatively build orders and resolve obstacles
• Ability to read tape measure to the 1/16”
• Knowledge and understanding of proper cut quality
• Setup and operate machinery: table saws, chop saws, shaper, planer, drill presses, routers, other power tools, and other hand tools
• Ensure proper housekeeping
• Assist at other machines within the department as needed
• Assist in other departments in the plant as needed

Salary Range: $20.00 To $23.00 Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assembly Line Operator / Woodshop Assembler, primarily known as Woodshop Associate, is responsible for including but not limited to cutting, gluing, finishing, and building stair components from wood blanks. They are responsible for material handling including loading and unloading of material for their equipment. The Woodshop Associate is responsible for producing product at the highest quality and working with team members to meet production targets safely.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cut, glue, build, and finish wood stair parts
• Basic understanding of blueprint drawings and build layouts
• Material identification – wood species, thickness, grain, and mill quality
• Work with team members to creatively build orders and resolve obstacles
• Ability to read tape measure to the 1/16”
