Job summary

PAC Seating Systems, Inc. in Palm City, FL is seeking a floor mentor for Assembly Technicians. You will guide operators, ensure parts meet tolerances, and maintain safety and quality standards on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include measuring parts, drilling, tapping, riveting, assembling components, following drawings and redlines, and training teammates. Travel up to 10% may be required; strong organization, teamwork, and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative required.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
• Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
• Have basic knowledge of the use and maintenance of common shop tools.

• Measures parts to determine specified tolerance.
• Drills, taps, reams, countersinks, and spot faces bolt holes in parts.
• Must be proficient in using most hand operated tools.
• Follows written instructions, notes and dimensions on drawings.
• Ability to follow the redline process for drawing errors.
• Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together.
• Disassembles and replaces parts as required.
• Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies.
• Marks identifying information on parts.
• Have a working knowledge of proper riveting techniques.
• Proficient in modifying parts per the drawings i.e.: cut, drill, radius, etc.
• Able to identify required dash numbers in a drawing structure.
• Perform soldering and crimping operations.
• Tests functional performance of assembly.
• Share knowledge and techniques to help others progress.
• Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Travel up to 10%.

Position Overview:

Working floor mentor of Assembly Technicians engaged in operating variety of equipment to manufacture products by performing the following duties:

Education, Certifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED and five years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
• All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.
