By combining proprietary satellite technology, advanced AI forecasting models, and actionable analytics, Tomorrow.io delivers hyper‑local weather insights that protect lives, strengthen operations, and build climate resilience globally.

Our space program is core to this mission. We are building and operating a weather observation constellation powered by internally developed sensing technologies - transforming how atmospheric data is captured and used worldwide.

Tomorrow.io is seeking an Assembly Integration & Test (AIT) Lead to build and scale the manufacturing capability for our next‑generation spacecraft and payloads. In this role, you will lead the development of production processes, integration strategies, and manufacturing operations while managing a team responsible for assembling and integrating flight hardware. Working across engineering, quality, and operations, you will help establish the production foundation that enables reliable, repeatable delivery of spacecraft for our weather observation constellation.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and mentor a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians responsible for the assembly, integration, and test of spacecraft hardware.
  • Develop integration strategies and manufacturing processes that enable efficient assembly and integration of satellite subsystems.
  • Build and maintain production schedules supporting spacecraft production and integration activities while balancing quality, cost, and resource constraints.
  • Partner closely with Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to ensure successful hardware delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop, implement, and continuously improve production standards and processes, including contamination control, ESD practices, work instructions, nonconformance management, inventory coordination, and engineering change implementation.
  • Drive spacecraft integration readiness through continuous improvement of production workflows, documentation, and operational processes.
  • Identify manufacturing and integration risks, develop practical mitigation strategies, and support resolution of technical and production challenges.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement while helping scale Tomorrow.io's spacecraft manufacturing capability.
What You Bring
  • 15+ years of experience in Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT), manufacturing engineering, or integration of complex aerospace, satellite, or similarly sophisticated hardware systems.
  • Experience leading technical teams in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing integration plans, manufacturing processes and spacecraft test plans from concept through production and verification.
  • Strong understanding of standard spacecraft operations including, clean room, contamination control, ESD practices, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
  • Experience managing production schedules, engineering changes, nonconformance resolution, and configuration management throughout the hardware lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), ERP systems, and production planning tools.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain organizations.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and frequent change while maintaining velocity in a development environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and commitment to delivering high‑quality hardware while managing risk and balancing program objectives.
  • A hands‑on leadership style with a passion for building scalable manufacturing capabilities, enabling mission success, empowering ownership and cultivating leadership.
