Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing operations.

  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and productivity improvement methods.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with ERP or production tracking systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily production schedules and adjust priorities to meet demand.
  • Assign and balance work across team members to maximize utilization.
  • Monitor daily output and ensure adherence to production targets.
  • Track KPIs such as productivity, schedule attainment, and labor utilization.
  • Identify bottlenecks and resolve workflow issues in real time.
  • Ensure adherence to standard work and assembly processes.
  • Coordinate with planning and warehouse teams to ensure material availability.
  • Provide daily direction and support to the assembly team.
  • Lead shift start meetings focused on priorities, safety, and expectations.
  • Train and cross-train employees to improve flexibility and efficiency.
  • Promote accountability and a high-performance team environment.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.

Job mission

The Assembly Coordinator plays a critical role in executing daily assembly operations with a strong focus on managing day-to-day workloads, scheduling, and improving productivity and labor utilization. This role is responsible for ensuring daily production targets are met efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards. The Assembly Lead serves as the primary point of coordination on the shop floor, proactively addressing issues, optimizing workflow, and driving continuous improvement in output and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and sustain continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure all assembly work meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Support quality checks and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and company procedures.
  • Promote and enforce a safe working environment.
Inventory & Materials
  • Coordinate with Planning and Warehouse teams to ensure material availability
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or excesses
  • Minimize waste and optimize material usage
Organization
  • Manage daily workloads to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to support efficient operations.
  • Maintain clear communication across shifts and departments.
  • Support staffing needs and workforce planning activities.
Skills and abilities
  • 3-5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing operations.
  • Previous experience in a lead or coordinator role preferred.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
