Valeo in Seymour, IN is seeking an Assembly Controls Engineer to maintain and re-engineer assembly equipment, program 6‑axis robots, PLCs, cameras and scanners, and drive downtime reduction through rapid intervention.

You will design, engineer and procure equipment for future programs, analyze line processes for cycle-time improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost productivity while maintaining safety and quality on the production floor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in robotics/automation or related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 3 years Siemens PLC programming.
  • Experience troubleshooting, implementing, launching projects.
  • Reading electrical prints, ladder logic and schematics.
  • Hands-on floor experience with manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with Yaskawa Motoman robotics & Keyence cameras is highly desired.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to drive productivity improvements reducing cycle times while maintaining machine capabilities.
  • Writing and implementing work instructions, PFMEA and process documentation.
