Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Rochester, NY, is seeking an Assembly C to perform mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly on components, sub-assemblies, or end products, following engineered assembly processes and quality standards.

The role requires experience with hand tools, soldering, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Overtime, lifting up to 25 lbs, and no travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and Bills of Material.
• Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the L3Harris E3 continuous improvement process.
• Able to transport up to 25 lbs and work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products in a repetitive nature
• Follows an engineered assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts
• Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches
• Able to troubleshoot product failing Leak Test detection
• Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
• Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements
• Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environment
• Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks
• Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift (up to 12 hours)
• Able to transport up to 25 lbs
• Other duties as assigned
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• No Travel requirements
• No Security Clearance required

Job Description:

This person will contribute to the company’s success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.

• Follows an engineered assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts

• J-STD-001 certified
• Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
• Uses Microsoft Office programs
• Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements
• Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environment
• Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks

The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $41,500 - $76,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
