Job Description

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a 3rd Class Electrician to join the MPES Services team in Jacksonville, FL. The electrician will perform duties including layout, fabrication, and installation of electrical wiring or coaxial cables.

Essential Functions

1. Check, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems for conformance to specifications, and perform repairs, removals, and reinstallation of wiring as necessary.
2. Cut wires to length, strip insulation, and insulate connections with plastic sleeves.
3. Attach wiring or electrical systems to fixtures and accessories such as transformers, instrument panels, and switchboards using fasteners like bolts, screws, or solder.
4. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Qualifications

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary/Associate's Degree with 0-2 years of related experience.

• At least 2 years of electrical experience installing cables through shipboard cableways, and performing terminations on military and commercial crimp and soldering connectors.
• Ability to provide own hand tools specific to the trade.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
