Job summary

Halma plc is looking for an Assembly Associate to join their Valparaiso team. The role involves performing assembly operations on handheld gas leak detectors, following detailed work instructions.

## Assembly, AssociateApplylocations: Valparaisotime type: Full timeposted on: Posted 30+ Days Agojob requisition id: JR26\_000359Help grow a safer, cleaner, healthier future for everyone, every day.**Key Responsibilities**:**Assembly*** Perform assembly operations on handheld gas leak detectors by following detailed work instructions, technical drawings, and schematics.* Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and small parts to assemble the product to exact specifications.* Ensure all components are installed correctly and secured**Testing & Troubleshooting*** Diagnose and troubleshoot assembly and performance issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs.* Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve recurring issues and optimize processes.**Quality Assurance*** Conduct quality inspections at various stages of the assembly process, ensuring each product meets company and regulatory standards.* Document assembly activities, test results, and any defects found during testing or assembly.**Process & Safety Compliance*** Follow ISO-certified manufacturing processes and adhere to all safety guidelines.* Maintain a clean and organized workstation to promote efficiency and safety.* Participate in periodic ISO audits and continuous improvement initiatives.**Team Collaboration*** Work closely with fellow assemblers, engineers, and quality assurance staff to ensure smooth production flow.* Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams regarding production status, equipment needs, and improvement opportunities.**Required Skills & Qualifications**:* High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in electronics or assembly is a plus.* 1+ years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or small devices.* Proficiency with hand tools, soldering, and testing equipment.* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.* Basic understanding of electrical systems and calibration procedures.* Commitment to quality and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.**Physical Requirements**:* Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.* Manual dexterity for handling small parts and precise assembly work.* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly.**Additional Requirements**:* Willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced production environment.* Ability to adapt to changing production demands and work overtime as needed.**Work Schedule:*** Hourly position* 40-hour work week* 8-hour shift, longer hours when required* Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm**Equal Opportunity Employer:**Sensit is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination or harassment.
