Job summary

Caterpillar Pontiac is seeking an Assembly and Test Specialist for weekend, part-time coverage. You will assemble, test, rework and repair components, using hand and pneumatic tools, and operate test machines on various assemblies. Strong teamwork and safety focus are required.

This 16-hour-per-week role offers weekend shifts with competitive starting pay and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment at Caterpillar Pontiac.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or engine maintenance role.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions (schematics, standard work, blueprints).
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, rework, and repair fuel injectors and fuel pumps using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Assemble exhaust systems and PETU tanks with pumps, wiring harnesses, insulation, and other components.
• Operate test machines.
• Disassemble and reassemble complex components to repair or replace damaged injector parts to transport prime product.
