Job summary

Caterpillar Pontiac is seeking a Match Bench Assembler to continuously improve process efficiency by sorting engine components and checking for defects.

You will perform manual and machine work to prepare components for shipment, follow schematics and standard work, and support safety and teamwork on a 3rd shift schedule (11:00 PM–7:00 AM) with pay starting at $20.40 per hour plus night shift premium.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months experience in manufacturing or engine maintenance.
• Ability to follow written instructions such as schematics or blueprints.
• Strong safety and teamwork focus.

About Large Power Systems Division (LPSD):

We design and manufacture the most comprehensive lineup of large diesel and natural gas engines in the industry, as well as engine components and powertrains.

Job Summary:

As a Match Bench Assembler at Caterpillar Pontiac, you will continuously improve process efficiency by sorting engine components and checking for defects.

What You Will Do (including but not limited to):

• Perform a variety of functions to prepare components for shipment.
• Perform a variety of manual and/or machine repetitive functions including the processing of parts, materials, equipment, supplies, etc. through various stages of manufacturing.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 months of experience working in a manufacturing or engine maintenance role.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written instructions (ex. Schematics, standard work, and/or blueprints).
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Additional Information:

• 3rd shift: Sunday – Thursday 11:00PM – 7:00AM.
• Starting pay is $20.40 per hour.
• $1.00 an hour night shift premium.
• Training is completed on 1st shift Monday – Friday.
• Positions start as supplemental (36 or more hours per week with no holiday pay and limited benefits).
• Relocation assistance is not available.
