Job summary

Express Office Lynnwood is seeking an assembler for a full-time, contract position in Bothell. The role involves producing items by assembling parts and subassemblies, following assembly instructions, blueprints, and diagrams, and operating production equipment in a safe, efficient manner.

The candidate will read and interpret drawings, perform basic math, and maintain accuracy in measurements. Strong reliability and the ability to stand through the shift are required.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED preferred.
• Background screening after a conditional offer is required by Washington State law.
• Requires 5-panel drug saliva testing.
• 1-3 years’ experience in production/manufacturing, assembly or assembly line work.
• Reliability and attendance are VERY important.
• May require standing the entire shift.
• Ability to read, understand, and navigate online assembly process documents.
• Understanding of basic math – adding, subtracting, measuring.
• Ability to read drawings & blueprints.
• Ability to safely utilize assembly tools for production tasks.
• Ability to communicate instructions effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to identify potential safety hazards and use judgement accordingly.
• Must be able to multi-task.

Position: Assembler
Type: Full-Time, Contract Position
Location: Bothell
Pay: $22.75 per hour
Schedules: 2nd shift // Monday-Thursday, 3:30PM-2:30AM // $22.75 per hour

Job Details

This position is responsible for producing products and components by assembling parts and subassemblies. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and/or visual factory. Operates industrial production and processing machinery in a safe, clean, and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Executes assembly sequence duties consistently meeting productivity and quality expectations
• Assemble parts according to work instruction, verbal instruction, drawings, and/or diagrams
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
• Loads materials and products into package processing equipment; weighs materials to ensure compliance with specifications
• Obtains, moves, sorts, and labels material, and containers
• May operate production machinery

Qualifications / Requirements

• High school education or GED preferred
• This position requires successful completion of a background screening after a conditional offer of employment, in accordance with Washington State law.
• Require a 5-panel drug saliva testing
• Requires 1-3 years’ experience working in a production/manufacturing environment, doing assembly or assembly line work

• This position may require you to stand the entire shift.

Physical Demands

• This position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% material handling, production assembly machine operations, and/or walking and assisting production employees
• Work is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection may have to be worn
• Eye and foot protection may have to be worn
• Lifting of weights up to 30 pounds may occur regularly, with a potential for lifting weights of up to 45 pounds on an occasional basis.
• There is potential exposure to extreme temperatures
• The occasional physical demands of the position include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and eye/hand/foot coordination
• May stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
