Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. in Mansfield, TX seeks a production operator to run semi-automated equipment and perform light assembly, packaging, and press tasks to meet quality and productivity standards.

You will read work orders and blueprints, inspect parts with gauges, document downtime and shift communications, and participate in lean 6S activities. Overtime may be required, and teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on semi-automated equipment and perform light assembly, packaging, or press operations to produce quality parts.
• Inspect product quality using measuring tools and record inspection findings; log downtime and shift communications.
• Read work orders and blueprints to verify specifications and bill of materials; ensure inventory transactions are correct.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report defects to the technical staff.
• Report production counts, scrap, and labor hours through required paperwork or electronic systems.
• Participate in 6S/lean manufacturing activities to reduce waste and improve processes.
• Cross-train by rotating to different machines and areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will do:

• Run production jobs on various types of semi-automated equipment and/or perform various types of light assembly, packaging, press operations, or other manual tasks by hand per written or verbal work instructions to produce quality parts while maintaining productivity standards.
• Inspect product for quality throughout production run using a variety of measuring tools such as go/no-go gauges and via visual inspection, record inspection findings, and write detailed downtime and other shift communications in a log book.
• Read work orders and blueprints to identify appropriate specifications for machine setup and product quality as required. Review work orders to ensure bill of materials are accurate and all inventory transactions are performed correctly.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate quality defects to the technical staff as required.
• Report accurate count of production parts, scrap, and labor hours by completing required paperwork and/or electronic entry.
• Comply with established 6S standards and participate in various lean manufacturing activities to improve products, reduce waste, or learn new skills or operations.
• Cross-train by rotating to different machines and work areas as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
