O'Fallon Casting is seeking a dedicated wax pattern assembler to attach patterns to sprue sticks, handling heavy assemblies with care and precision.
The role requires strong manual dexterity, physical stamina, and basic computer skills for logging and reporting. You will work under supervision in a controlled, air-conditioned environment and contribute to quality control as you build complex wax assemblies.
Attach wax patterns to a sprue stick, exercising care to complete a difficult, and/or heavy, quality assembly.
Hot irons, clippers, hot wires, rework tools, angles, Bunsen burner, holding racks, spacers, putty knives, electronic media, H2O welder, etc.
Various types of pattern wax, stictite, ceramic pouring cups, sprue handles, etc.
With the guidance and supervision of the department supervisor and/or the Senior Assembler, the following are the usual major job duties but this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties by the incumbent.
Work is to be performed in an air‑conditioned environment, as free as possible of contaminants.
Must have sufficient strength and manual dexterity to perform the physical demands of the job. Must have average working knowledge of personal computers and related software.
