Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a 2nd shift Warehouse/Kitting associate to assemble documents into kits and prepare shipments. You will prep work areas, gather materials, and follow detailed packing procedures to collate materials per customer specifications.

Responsibilities include stocking, counting, labeling, and assembling finished products into shipping containers. Training others in new processes and lean methods is also expected, with overtime and shift flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior warehouse or kitting experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications and identify correct parts for orders.
  • Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal).
  • Knowledge of routine packing procedures, equipment, and general warehouse procedures.
  • Stock, move, arrange, and rotate items per operating instructions.
  • Complete forms for stock description, quantity, unit, and labeling requirements.
  • Skilled in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
  • Basic arithmetic to perform simple calculations.
  • Willingness to flex schedule, including overtime or different shift.
  • Able to use a ladder to pick items and retrieve boxes.
  • Able to stand, move, bend, reach, and turn frequently.
  • Able to lift, pull and push up to 60 pounds frequently.

2nd shift

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-assembly duties such as; prepping boxes, stocking assembly area, gathering materials, and organizing work area
  • Follow detailed procedures to perform routine packing work, collating materials as necessary
  • Pick and package a variety of printed materials or related items that require a variety of packing procedures and techniques.
  • Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping in accordance with customer specifications
  • Count and sort inventory as required
  • May prepare shipments of customer samples.
  • Train others in new processes and lean methodologies
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
  • Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Must be willing to flex schedule to meet the needs of production, including working overtime or a different shift, if needed.
  • Must be able to use a ladder to pick items or to retrieve boxes or materials.
  • Must be able to stand and move about the facility
  • Must be able to bend, reach and turn frequently
  • Must be able to lift, pull and push up to 60 pounds frequently

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $15.65 to $20.20 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include a sign-on bonus of $X,XXX, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand‑by pay.
