Job summary

BD is hiring for a warehouse/manufacturing/quality position in Covington, GA. The role requires basic experience and emphasizes quality records, documentation, and adherence to SOPs. You will work with standard equipment to transport materials and inspect, while meeting overtime requirements.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and up to one year of warehouse experience, with good English reading/writing and basic math skills. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced plant environment.

Requirements:

• Must have at least one year of experience in a warehouse/manufacturing/or quality position.

• Must be one continuous year on the same job as a minimum.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read rulers, and must have good vision.
• Uses a variety of equipment such as inspection and light equipment, handcarts, to move materials, parts, assemblies and scrap products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse. Sort and inspect materials.
• Must maintain quality records, have good writing skills, and maintain good documentation practices.
• Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method.
• Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
• Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
• Works under general to limited supervision.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
• Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.
