Job description

The Assembler position will support department goals regarding quality and quantity of production in a safe and respectful manner. Specific tasks may vary at different workstation assignments and as different product models are manufactured.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble parts per work instruction into high quality product utilizing tools and fixtures
  • Utilize test equipment to ensure product is assembled correctly per quality expectations and other standards
  • Visually inspect parts and product for defects such as scratches, dents, slugs, pinched wires, etc.
  • Utilize workstation computer to read schedule, match parts to work orders, view work instructions, scan parts into inventory software, etc.
  • Adhere to safety standards
  • Uphold quality expectations
  • Train employees on procedures and techniques
  • Housekeeping and workstation organization tasks
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to visually inspect details to spot defects
  • Ability to work with fiberglass, plastic, glue, and insulation
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to perform body movements including reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, turning, bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, and fine manipulation
  • Ability to perform repetitive line assembly tasks
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Has strong attention to detail and desire for precision and accuracy to uphold quality standards
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Prior experience using hand tools

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with small hand tools
  • 1+ years of assembly or manufacturing experience
