Responsibilities

  • Assemble manual and automated valve packages per BOM and drawings, including actuators and fittings.
  • Perform functional and visual inspections, verify part numbers and workmanship before release.
  • Conduct testing using pneumatic, electric, and leak/pressure checks as specified.
  • Maintain production records and traceability for serials, results, and labels.
  • Maintain clean, safe 5S workstation and support inventory accuracy.
  • Complete Role Standard Work and other duties as assigned.

Shifts Available:6am-2:30pm (Days) Must Be Available to Work Overtime as NeededSchedule:Monday - Friday, occasional SaturdaysPay:$18-$23 base pay (depending on experience) + BonusBenefits of Working for Georg Fischer:Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, and vision)120 hours of paid time off annually (combined PTO and sick leave accruals)Generous 401(k) match: Company matches 50% of employee contributions up to 15% of eligible pay; fully vested upon enrollmentProfit Sharing up to 2%Company-paid life insurance and long-term disabilityEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Safe and team-oriented work environmentClimate-controlled facilityCareer growth and development opportunitiesEmployee Recognition Programs, Carpool Reimbursement Program, Gym Reimbursement ProgramEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Assemble manual and automated valve packages in accordance with approved bills of material, drawings, work instructions, torque requirements, and customer configuration details, including installation of actuators, brackets, couplings, limit switches, positioners, solenoids, tubing, fittings, and other accessories.Perform functional and visual inspections throughout the build; verify part numbers, materials, orientation, stroke, fail position, open and closed indication, fastener security, labeling, and overall workmanship before releasing an assembly to the next operation.Conduct documented testing using approved equipment and methods, which may include pneumatic operation, electric actuation, continuity or signal checks, leak or pressure checks, cycle testing, and confirmation that the completed assembly operates as specified.Maintain accurate production records and traceability by recording serial numbers, test results, nonconformances, labor or completion status, and required labels; promptly identify shortages, damaged parts, documentation conflicts, and quality concerns for resolution.Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workstation using established safety practices and 5S principles; care for tools and test equipment, support inventory accuracy and material handling, and contribute to cross training, standard work, and continuous improvement activities.Complete Role Standard Work and deliver all other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use common hand tools, torque tools, power tools, measuring devices, and assembly fixtures.Ability to read and follow bills of material, assembly drawings, wiring or pneumatic schematics, work instructions, specifications, and quality checkpoints.Working knowledge of basic mechanical assembly practices; ability to learn valve types, actuator operation, accessory functions, tubing, fittings, and basic low-voltage wiring.Attention to detail, component identification, accurate documentation, and disciplined adherence to safety, quality, and traceability requirements.Basic math and measurement skills, including fractions, decimals, unit conversion, and interpretation of torque and pressure values.Ability to use a computer or mobile device for work orders, inventory transactions, instructions, testing records, email, and standard business applications.Clear communication, teamwork, problem solving, organization, and the ability to manage changing priorities in a production environment.Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.At least one year of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, industrial maintenance, valve or actuator assembly, or a comparable hands-on production environment.Experience following documented work instructions and completing quality or production records.Experience with valve automation, pneumatic systems, electrical actuators, basic wiring, testing, or ERP and work-order systems is preferred.Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.The employee is frequently required to sit.The employee is occasionally required to stand and walkThe employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Must be able to work overtime when needed/scheduled.Please submit your application via the ‘Apply’ button.
