An established industry player is seeking a dedicated assembler to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling fabricated parts, testing and calibrating mechanisms, and ensuring they meet strict tolerances and specifications. Your hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems will be crucial as you operate various tools and equipment. Basic Function
Assembles fabricated parts at workstations per standardized work instructions. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications. Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary.
Responsibilities and Duties
Positions parts according to the knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints or work instructions.
Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
Operates air tools, arbor presses, hand tools, or special machines to assist in assembly operation.
Assembles specified bolts to specific torque values.
Assembles nameplates and other labels as required on B.O.M.
Performs specified electrical performance tests on sub-assemblies and assembled products.
Performs pump flow tests using water tanks and test panels. Verifies pump performance against engineered standards. Reads performance charts and graphs. Records data as required.
Assists on paint line as needed.
Completes key performance indicators (KPI's) for performance measurement.
Assists material handler with setups and change over.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
Other duties as assigned.
