Assembler Technician Level II - First Shift

Job Summary

As a Production Technician in Composites or Assembly, you will be responsible for tasks pivotal to building aircraft. You will learn to use various hand tools and pneumatic fixtures to assemble parts. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new skills.

Schedule: First shift, M-Th, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM; overtime as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Learn and perform responsibilities within two primary assembly disciplines within 6 months.
  • Install components ensuring fit, clearance, alignment, and performance per design.
  • Manage technician schedule and takt time.
  • Inspect, build, and install aircraft components following engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure parts meet design requirements for fit and function.
  • Set up and use bonding, drilling, and holding fixtures.
  • Route wires, cables, and tubing.
  • Install rivets, screws, and bolts with appropriate tools.
  • Torque hardware using various tools and test equipment.
  • Follow and document build instructions accurately.
  • Wear PPE including respirators.
  • Mix and apply adhesives, resins, and sealants as instructed.
  • Maintain an organized workstation.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of related experience or training, including manufacturing, automotive, military aircraft, or relevant skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to verify work accuracy.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings, measure within thousandths of an inch.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability.
  • Knowledge of basic tools and judgment in tool selection.
Additional Relevant Skills

Experience in auto/marine mechanics, assembly, manufacturing, military, surface prep, carpentry, construction, plumbing, or general aircraft knowledge may be considered relevant.
