Job Summary

As a Production Technician in Composites or Assembly, you will be responsible for tasks pivotal to building a plane or jet. You will learn to use various hand tools and pneumatic fixtures to assemble parts. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn new skills.

Schedule

This is a first shift position M-Th; 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Overtime as required.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Learn and develop skills in assembly, including reading engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure parts, fit, clearance, and alignment meet design requirements.
  • Prepare and use bonding, drilling, and holding fixtures.
  • Install rivets, screws, and bolts with appropriate tools.
  • Route wires, cables, and tubing.
  • Torque hardware and fittings using various tools and test equipment.
  • Follow and document aircraft build instructions accurately.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Learn to mix and apply adhesives, resins, and sealants.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of related experience, education, or training.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings with high precision.
  • Knowledge of basic tools and good judgment in their use.
Additional Skills and Backgrounds

Relevant experience includes automotive, military aircraft, construction, plumbing, and general aircraft knowledge. Fast-paced environment experience is also beneficial.
