Eaton in Richmond, VA is seeking an Assembler Team Lead for the 2nd shift at Oakleys Ct site. The role leads production, ensures on-time delivery, and enforces safety and productivity goals on the shop floor. Base pay is $26.00/hour plus $2.00/hour shift differential, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.

Core hours are 3:30pm–12:00am. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2–5 years in manufacturing, and prior supervisory experience. Lean 6S experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead operators to meet quality and productivity targets.

• Ensure compliance with company guidelines, safety, attendance and punctuality.
• MaintainVisual Management communications boards.
• Perform periodic 6S audits of plant operations.
• Communicate shift status to Production Management and Supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement in assigned areas.

What you’ll do:

Position Overview: The Team Lead is responsible for Supporting Operations Management as needed to accomplish the company’s overall objectives of providing on-time delivery of quality products. Supporting and initiating actions with management to ensure that personnel comply with all company guidelines, including Health & Safety and productivity levels.

In this function you will:

• Provide assistance as needed to the operators to improve the ability to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Using the reports available, monitor the progress of projects on the production floor to ensure on time delivery to the customer expectations.
• Provide feedback to management on the matters that impede the progress of management’s objectives of providing a harmonious, safe and productive work environment.
• Keep all work areas clean, organized and presentable.
• Demonstration and support of compliance with all company guidelines, including safety, attendance and punctuality.
• Maintain Visual Management communications boards.
• Perform periodic 6s audits of various plant operations.
• Communicate shift status to Production Management as well as opposite shift lead and Production Supervisors (if applicable).
• Support continuous improvement of assigned area(s).

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent or GED

No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Richmond, VA facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
