Eaton Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking an Assembler (Tanker) on the 3rd shift to assemble components for transformer equipment. You will locate tanks and parts, assemble bushings and current transformers, mount cores, and complete electrical connections according to blueprints.

This role offers an hourly wage of $26.20–$27.78 with a $2.50 shift premium, weekly pay, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Candidates should live within 50 miles of Waukesha and be US-authorized to work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation; reside within 50 miles of Waukesha, WI facility.

Responsibilities

• Locate and move tanks, parts, and covers to the assembly area.
• Assemble bushings and current transformers to tank or cover as specified.
• Mount core and coil in tank, bolt in place, and complete electrical connections.
• Assemble accessories (oil level gauges, thermometer, gauge, relief device) as specified.
• Check lead clearances and arrange spacers or insulating barriers as required.
• Perform resistance testing on small pad-mounted transformers.
• Read and work from blueprints and schematics.

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking an Assembler (Tanker) – 3rd Shift.

Hourly rate: $26.20–$27.78 per hour, plus a $2.50 shift premium. Core hours are 11:00pm to 7:00am Monday‑Friday; overtime may exceed these hours and may be mandatory.

Sign‑on bonus: $3,000 paid in two installments of $1,000 (less applicable withholding), subject to terms and conditions. Bonus is only available for specific job types and shifts, must be employed at the time of payout, and applicants must submit applications on or after January1,2024. Moving to 1st shift will disqualify you from any remaining new‑hire bonus payments.

What you’ll do

• Locate and move tanks, parts, and covers to the assembly area
• Assemble bushings and current transformers to cover or tank as specified
• Mount core and coil in tank, bolt in place, clamp cover, and make all electrical connections to bushings; mount tap changer, switches, current transformers, and vacuum fault interrupters
• Locate and assemble all accessories (oil level gauges, thermometer, pressure‑vacuum gauge, pressure relief device, etc.) as specified
• Check all lead clearances inside unit and assemble needed spacers or insulating barriers as required
• Perform resistance testing on small pad‑mounted transformers
• VFI, load‑break switches
• Read and work from blueprints and schematics

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
• No relocation offered; candidates must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility (active duty military service members are exempt)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum one year of electrical experience

Skills

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
