Konecranes is seeking an assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble electrical and mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and complete units according to diagrams, samples, and written instructions.

The role requires following blueprints, mounting components, and integrating wiring harnesses as part of a collaborative production environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and mechanical aptitude, along with a keen eye for detail.

• Assemble electrical and mechanical components, sub-assemblies and complete assemblies per design and diagrams.

• Mount components on bodies or panels; connect wiring harness to terminals.
• Use assembly drawings, diagrams and specifications in the process.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assemblies beyond proper function.
• Test products using high voltages.
• Operate hand tools to assist in assembly.
• Work in multiple areas as production needs require.

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Assemblers work in a manufacturing environment to put together various production parts using diagrams, samples, drawings, and written instructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble electrical/mechanical components, sub-assemblies and complete assemblies of standard design having frequent variation in detail, number of parts and/or wiring patterns.
• Position and fasten parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
• Mount components on bodies or panels; prepare, install, and connect wiring harness to terminals.
• Utilize assembly drawings, diagrams, specifications, samples, and prototypes in the assembly process.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical assemblies that are not properly functioning.
• Perform product testing utilizing high voltages.
• Operate various hand tools to assist in the assembly operation.
• Work in different work areas as production needs require.
• Working with the team lead, supervisor, and material handlers, ensure NCM and scrap materials are properly identified and removed from the production floor Perform other duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools.
• Attention to detail and quality control.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school graduate or GED required.

Vacation:

2 weeks of vacation per year (pro-rated for the first year depending on start date). 5-12 years of service, 3 weeks. 13+ years of service, 4 weeks.

Sick Leave:

5 days of Sick Leave per year. Pro-rated the first year after 90 days of service
