YOU

The Painter is responsible for the loading and unloading of paint line products and materials and supporting the powder coat operators. This position is also responsible for quality inspections of products, checking millage thickness on product and titrations of chemicals.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING(% of Time)

  1. Ensure the quality of paint coating through visual and test methods and the overall quality of parts painted through visual inspection. Check welded parts for porosity and missing or defective welds while painting. Follow sequence of schedule to ensure product is painted in correct order distributed to the next process. Follow Safety guidelines and complete paperwork according to procedures defined. (75%)
  2. Monitor and maintain wash system titration levels. (15%)
  3. Train on other equipment and or processes within the production area to meet customer demands. Check chemical and adhesion tests as required. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Required to have Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck certification (will certify at hire)
  • Preferred High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-year related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training within the powder coating industry.
  • Mathematical Reasoning: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimal equivalents.
  • Language: Ability to read and write simple instructions and correspondence. Ability to read, comprehend and interpret drawings.
  • Speaking: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form and to solve problems involving both concrete and unknown variables.
  • Measurements: Able to read a tape measure to 1/32” tolerance and to use combination squares to measure angles to +/- 1 degree.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify options for solving a problem encountered during the manufacturing process.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment and needs to constantly position self to maintain the operation of equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions, fumes and/or noxious odors, toxic/caustic chemicals, dust, loud noise levels and moving mechanical parts.

TRAVEL

This position requires no travel at this time.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Fulton, MO.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$19.18 - $28.80 / hour
