Job Description

Illinois Tool Works (ITW) is a Fortune 200 diversified manufacturing company with seven decentralized business segments, which include the Food Equipment Group. The Cooking Steam Division of ITW's Food Equipment Group is seeking Assembler/Packers for their Troy, Ohio manufacturing facility.

This first shift Assembler position starts at $18.25 an hour and involves assembly, packing, troubleshooting, repair, and adjustment of stainless-steel commercial models to meet operational standards. The role may require overtime, including weekends, to meet customer demands. The assembler will use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, hoists, and work instructions, combining mechanical and electrical knowledge to complete tasks.

  • Assembles and repairs equipment according to instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and specifications using hand and power tools.
  • Reads process sheets, blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to determine assembly methods and sequences.
  • Performs visual inspections for defects related to fit, form, or function.
  • Works within a team to meet weekly production schedules and productivity goals.
  • Demonstrates competency in machine assembly.
  • Assembles, packs, and crates finished products and parts.
  • Provides training and instructions to others on assembly processes.
  • Follows quality and safety practices and procedures.
  • Maintains housekeeping protocols and reports inventory concerns.
  • Adheres to plant rules and attendance policies.
  • Collaborates effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous assembly experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, pivot, lean, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in hot/cold environments and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and instructions for proper assembly.

Compensation
