Assembler / Operator (SDKY) 1st Shift (M – Th, 7 am – 5 pm)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.

  • Assembles production by hand or mechanical means provided.
  • Knowledge of operation and maintains efficiency required to meet job specifications, production times and quality standards.
  • Reports defective parts to Group Leader and/or Supervisor.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches and process drawings.
  • Uses scales, micrometers, calipers and gages necessary for quality requirement.
  • Knowledge of forklift operations.
  • Performs set-ups on equipment required for any assembly requirement.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by Group Leader and/or Supervisor when production schedule demands it.
  • Employee is required to frequently lift, pull and push metal components weighing between 2-7 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift, pull and push chain components in excess of 50lbs up to a maximum of 75lbs.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to perform moderately active work typical of a manufacturing plant environment. Examples include pushing, pulling, lifting, standing, bending, twisting.
  • Safety Sensitive position
