Job summary

FS ELLIOTT Co. is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our Pittsburgh manufacturing team on the 2PM-10PM shift. You will assemble and fabricate mechanical components used in centrifugal equipment, following detailed drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of assembly experience, is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working with tools and in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• 1–3 years of mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies per drawings.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform quality checks to ensure conformance to specs.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA to resolve issues.
• Follow all safety guidelines and record work and materials used.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating mechanical components used in centrifugal compressors and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with mechanical assembly, be detail‑oriented, and have a passion for working with their hands.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform quality checks and inspections on assembled products to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Work closely with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
• Ensure all safety guidelines and procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
