Job description

The manufacturing Assembler, Level 1 will play a crucial role in the production process. You will be responsible for assembling components and subassemblies according to established procedures and specifications. This entry‑level position offers an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in manufacturing while contributing to the production of high‑quality products.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None
Competencies
  • Performs basic assembly of parts with strong oversight by senior or supervisor.
  • Use a computer to track the time and labor worked on each job.
  • Complete required paperwork, such as production logs and quality assurance forms, accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential Functions
  • Assists in maintaining inventory within the area or as it relates to the job traveler.
  • Ensure the quality of assembled products by inspecting parts for defects, irregularities, or damages.
  • Complete in‑process deburr and packaging of parts when necessary.
  • Assemble basic parts and components following detailed instructions, blueprints, and diagrams with assistance as needed for training.
  • Operate assembly equipment and tools safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic assembly issues or malfunctions, escalating more complex problems to higher‑level staff as needed.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in the assembly area.
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting production goals and deadlines.
